スタジオでテキパキお昼ご飯の、いや、ミッ
クスの指示を出すよしだみの勇ましい姿を激
写しようとしたら、案の定拒否られたので、

「じゃあ、スニーカーは?」

と冗談で言ったつもりがOKがでて、僕、び
っくり。

もちろん僕はファッションに疎いのでこのス
ニーカーがどんだけカックイイのかは分から
ないけど、でも、ステキだよね。

そんな「お昼ご飯番長」の、いやいや、
「ミックス番長」よしだみが根性と執念でつ
くる17枚目のアルバムのお話をちょこっと。

このアルバムは、おなじみの曲が8曲入るのは
もちろん決定。

で、新曲が何曲かあるんだけど、どれもがド
リカムくささ全開なんでございます。

とはいえ「未来予想図II」とか「LOVE LOVE
LOVE」的なドリカムくささじゃない。

1989年のデビューアルバムで、世間に挑戦
した時のようなドリカムくささ。

何も恐れず、怖いものも知らず、ただただ音
楽が好きで、ただただ歌いたくて、ただただ
みんなに聞いてもらいたい一心の、チャート
一位なんて遥か彼方の夢の話し、タイアップ
のオファーなんて嬉しいことが絶対起きない
ような「ドリカムくささ」

でも、決して原点回帰なんかじゃない、25年
という経験を土台にした「ドリカムくささ」
なんです。

自由奔放なポップスをカタチにしようと挑戦
中です。

I was trying to take pictures of Miwa in the studio.
She was busy instructing the mixing and picking
up today’s lunch menu.

As expected, she told me not to take pictures of
hers.

“What about your sneakers?”
I asked her jokingly.
Surprisingly she OKed.

I’m not fashion conscious enough to tell you
how cool these sneakers are, but they look
good, no?

Being “Lunch Delivery Boss”..., no,
“Mixing Boss” in the studio, Miwa has been
putting all her guts and tenacity to make this
17th album.

Let me tell you a little bit about the new album.

This album will have those 8 songs you are
already familiar with.

We have several new songs.
All of them absolutely smells like Dori Kamu.

It’s not like “Dori Kamu smell” you experienced
in “Mirai Yosozu II” or “LOVE LOVE LOVE”.

It’s a “Dori Kamu smell” emitted when we
released our first album in 1989, when we
challenged the world for the first time.

No fear. Nothing scared us. We just loved the
music.
We just wanted to sing and just wanted you to
listened to our music.
That was all we want.
Getting the top 1 in the chart was not the reality.
We had never dreamed of getting wonderful
tie-ins either.

free-spirit pops now.
